Agent estate

I run more than ten scheduled agents every day. They handle research sweeps, news, monitoring, content ideas, job and event searches, and assorted personal operations. Together they produce more written output each week than I do.

I did not set out to build an estate. I wrote one useful scheduled job, then another. Eighteen months later, I had infrastructure I had never designed or audited and could not list from memory. The agents hold credentials and have permission to write. They also process untrusted input on a schedule, sometimes unattended at 6 AM.

I now put an expiry date on anything an agent builds. After that date, I either justify keeping it or let it die. Expiry is not elegant. It is simply the first rule I have found that still works when the inventory keeps growing.
