I suppose that the client reader doesn’t have to be full fledged at this point. I could see a halfway service. A site that reads those rss feeds you sign up for, and send the contents to you in an email, and your email gets sent to that site and updates the feed intended for that person. Not perfect of course because you are still susceptible to spam at that account. But it’s an idea to break folks in slowly.
This is really making me want to start in on this, but I’m no Dave Winer. And by that, I mean he seems to come up with new stuff constantly. Or at least working on new stuff constantly. I don’t have that kind of time.
