Chris Brogan talked about it on his Attention Upgrade which is his youtubeish, seesmicish, private channel simple format video.
He said something this time which is something I have been thinking about and discussing with forlks for over a year. The mobile web. Web on your mobile phone.
It is far lacking from where it should be.
Watch the video, it hits on some of my hotbuttons. I tried to comment but not sure if it will show up, so I’m posting it again below.
I’m all over this one. I have a Motorola Q, and I am so lacking in what can get done with it. Between Verizon and the other phone companies wanting monetize every tiny thing that goes through their network, and what can be installed on MY phone, it is difficult to get anything done. Even Apple has famously cut out the coolness of a great platform with their iPhone.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is why I am welcoming Googles entry into this arena. With their history of openness, this is exactly what the mobile platform needs. Openness.
Thanks Chris.
