Blendtec

After happening across these videos on youtube, and doing a search for more people talking about them, I feel like I’m the last person on earth who hadn’t heard of Blendtec. On the show, “Will it Blend?” the CEO of Blendtec, Tom Dickson, even blended an iPhone, which you can buy the blended iPhone on eBay, currently the winning bid is US$1151.00.

So, to state the obvious, what is there to like about these videos?
#1 They are entertaining. Who wouldn’t want to watch stuff get blended that shouldn’t be blended? iPhone, Video Camera, plunger, chicken and Coke… entertainment gold… all the while the CEO is standing there with a grin that you can’t help but smile at.
#2 They are simple. There is corny intro music, it is well introduced in just a sentence or two, and then you blend something. Simple is awesome, complication is lame.
#3 They get the point across. The first thing I thought when watching that is, “Wow, now that’s a blender.” I had my mom watch the video, I showed her the toilet parts one and the plunger one. What did she say, “That doesn’t look safe.” hahaha… but then she said, “That is sure a powerful blender.” It is unavoidable, they get their point across in a few seconds so effectively, they don’t even have to tell you what the point is. And best of all, the videos are highlighted right on their homepage.

Simply awesome, viral doesn’t get any better then this.
