What is Creative Commons?

Ever found yourself asking this? I know I have, and for whatever reason, I fall asleep navigating their website looking for my answers.

But alas, I have found my answers, thanks to Cory Doctorow. And thanks to Lawrence Lessig for pointing me in this direction. Certainly not in depth, that is where the Creative Commons website comes in. But a great overview of the history, purpose, and uses of Creative Commons.
