Still in NYC

by Jeremy Vaught

This is a town of a different sort then I’m used to. Phoenix is open, spread out, reasonably clean, you drive where you need to go, you see people on the sidewalk only every now and then, you call a cab when you need one, there is little honking, and many other things that New York City is not. I’ve spent that last several days in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and while this city has it’s charms, it is a little nutty too. Like the fact that 80% of the people I have seen are single and in their 30’s.

A few of the things that are cool are that there is food everywhere, and not the chains either. Food chains are the exception and not the rule. Artists are everywhere, which is a strange combination with the rent prices around here. There is enough walking and stair climbing going on that it seems it keeps everyone more thin, which is of course a good thing.

meh, I’m just rambling, so I’ll stop. Great place to visit though, I’ve enjoyed myself thoroughly and look forward to when I can come back. I leave tonight and will be back in Phoenix by morning.

Dude/Dudette! Thanks for coming back, you make my day! :D Contact me at jeremy@jeremyvaught.com and let me know what you are up to.

Cheers!
